How to Own Your Sexual Power

Enon put his mouth on my pussy, immediately igniting a bolt of energy that began flowing through me–from the point of contact we shared up through my crown and down through my toes.

I looked to the mountain for instruction. What did it mean, to be such a powerful conduit of sexual energy? 

With Enon’s tongue dancing on my skin, waking my body up to powerful pleasure and intensifying sensation, I felt myself arrive on top of the mountain where two stone temples stood. 

Inside, I knew, were ancient and powerful beings who could teach me how to harness this incredible–mind blowing–amount of energy and direct it toward something greater.

Without any guidance I felt a lot like a kid left behind on Mt. Olympus during a Bacchanalia. 

And I’d just stumbled upon Daddy’s thunder bolt. 

Every hero’s journey begins with a call to adventure

I had just finished grad school. Ended an “it’s complicated” four year relationship. Moved from Oregon to California. Quit my business in marketing. Knew I didn’t want to teach college English. Was trying to figure out what the heck my gifts were for. 

It was my 36th birthday. 

And here I was, in the middle of the forest just a few feet from the main road, experiencing a wild call to adventure, awakened in the height of an LSD trip by my lover’s skilfull pussy eating.

I couldn’t ignore the call to explore the question, how can sexual energy be used to create a more vibrant, fulfilling life?

This experience showed me that there’s a world of pleasure, connection, and energetic exchange with the universe that shattered any concept of a “pleasure ceiling” for me. 

After the experience, pathways to more pleasure and even better mind-blowing sex became regularly accessible. 

I noticed that the way in which I paid attention to pleasure massively shifted how I experienced pleasure.

If you’re constantly in your head worried about what you’re not feeling/getting or worried about what you’re giving, you will block yourself from pleasure. 

After the experience, I felt fully deserving of the BIG love Enon and I shared, even though it seemed too good to be true. 

When you are aligned with your sexual self you fully accept and love and appreciate yourself. And when you live in that state, of course you can be with the most phenomenal partner ever. YOU too are phenomenal! 

Interestingly, I also noticed that I finally felt comfortable in my clothing style, which had been a source of stress and dissatisfaction for the past 15 years. 

I could never fully own my style because I couldn’t own my sensual, erotic self, and the two (for me) were incredibly linked. 

I found myself better able to communicate my needs and hold boundaries in uncomfortable conversations. And I would leave those conversations feeling accomplished and good about myself and my progress.

I felt like I could truly own the words..

“I am a divine, beautiful, sexual goddess.”

Without feeling shy or ashamed.

The best part is, I felt like I could fully be me and love me and accept me. I could tap into sexual power sources whenever I wanted a confidence boost. 

Not only did I become more creative, the certainty in myself and my abilities increased and I felt more sure that my future would be in alignment with what I’d always wanted for myself. 

Society has been constructed to limit our sexuality, because it is so powerful. Because it draws on primal forces that feel too big for us to control. 

Because controlling sex controls one of our most basic needs. And when you can control that, you have a lot of power over a person. 

One interesting thing about sex is how varied the experience can be. 

It can be a source of unlimited, magnificent, personal power. It can connect us to the divine. It can be a source of inspiration, love, joy, and deep connection to others. 

Or it can be shadowed with pain, trauma, and feelings of low self-worth. 

It can be a million things in between. 

Sex is a powerful and profound human experience.

I’d like to give you the same call to adventure I had on the mountain (sans LSD, most likely). 

The call to explore your sexual identity, and to own your sexual power by letting go of the narratives that block you from pleasure. 

A call to add more pleasure and connection to your life through intentional practice.
