Permission for Pleasure
Sometimes, we block ourselves off from experiencing pleasure or giving ourselves time to prioritize our pleasure.
This may manifest as ambivalence or lack of excitement (apathy) around doing a pleasure practice or carving out time for self care.
Sometimes, we just need to give ourselves permission to focus on our pleasure in order to break through the fog of conditioning that says our pleasure isn’t worth the time or attention we need to give it.
Your Permission for Pleasure Practice:
Give yourself permission, every day, to indulge in the pleasure or self care activity of your choice.
Set a specific time and set an alarm so you bring attention to your pleasure practice.
If you can, do your pleasure activity it in the same place every day. This way, you build energy around the space and form a habitual rhythm.
To give yourself permission, simply write yourself a note or write out an intention for the day’s pleasure practice.
Give yourself permission for whatever you want your practice to include...permission to feel big emotions, permission to explore your erogenous zones, permission to get off as fast as you can, permission to sink into a moment of bliss, permission to treat your body well...whatever it is, this is your space to play and experiment.
